So yesterday was my dad's birthday and I made my first Ombré cake, Tre Chic ha ha ha ha
Granted my icing technique could be tidier, but that's why I love occasions to try new cakes because practice sure does makes perfect. Doesn't it look wonderful in all it's 4 layer Glory. Dense buttery vanilla sponge, separated by sumptious strawberry preserve and rich caramelly Dolche Leche and then covered in a smoothe, creamy, mouth watering cream cheese frosting...
Who wants some??
I worked so hard, and was so meticulous when putting the candles on my dad's cake to make sure I had it all spelt right, alas I failed to notice that I totally mucked it up HAPPY birthdaH indeed ;)
The night went well, with the odd thorn in my side, but that's a realm not worth exploring as yet...
So no exercise yesterday, but lots of joy around good food and times with family so I'm happy.
So easy to say we are Christian but to live it, to actually really live the life that we are called to live is an entire lifetime of hard yakka...
